We are proud to announce the completion of the project titled “Implementation of R&D Results for the Introduction of Innovative Cable Drums to the Market.” This project was co-financed by the European Union under the Operational Programme Intelligent Development 2014-2020.
ANDREW s.c., by implementing the project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund of the EU titled “Implementation of R&D Works for the Introduction of Innovative Cable Drums to the Market,” has developed a new generation cable drum designed for the storage and transport of fiber optic cables.
Our cable drums, with a main disc diameter of 1000 mm, feature:
– An innovative threaded drum core
– Reduced wood moisture to 18%
– Reduced weight to 65 kg
– Reduced main disc thickness to 40 mm
– No need for a centering sleeve plate
– Reduced weight of steel centering elements to 0.52 kg
– Increased cable bending radius on the reel to 100 mm

European Union Fund Co-financing: 7,007,670.00 PLN
The production of this type of packaging is a milestone in the history of our company, positioning ANDREW s.c. as a leader and innovator in the field of fiber optic cable packaging.
